Let's start with how I made it.

Before the internet, it was scissors, paper and tape. No Readers Digest or Nation Enquirer was safe from being clipped. Quotes heard on the radio were hurriedly scribbled on whatever was closest.
First stop at the library was the 808.88 Dewey Decimal System section. That's where the quote books are. Photocopiers were on every floor and a dime a page. The annual library book sale on the sidewalk was a bonanza.
With 1997, came the computer age for me. I signed up for the "quote of the day" emails and copied and pasted into AppleWorks database. Alt.quotations was a great source and very active.
Today https://www.reddit.com/r/quotes/ is a fantastic quotes community.
Ilovequotes.com was registered in 2004.
